How My Identity Shapes My Career
My life’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. As a Third Culture Kid (TCK), I’m a mix of places, people, and experiences. Growing up in four cities across India & the U.S.—Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Delhi NCR, and Pittsburgh—I figured out pretty quickly what it means to be an outsider and how to make sense of the world around me.
Living in constantly shifting environments forced me into being empathetic, resilient, and deeply aware of the messy complexities of identity. Art became my lifeline—whether it was theatre, music, writing, or dance, it was how I connected to places, people, and ultimately, myself.
Fast forward to today, and all those experiences have blended into a career as multifaceted as my upbringing. Over five years, I’ve juggled roles as a stylist, model, writer, brand strategist, marketer, and developed a participatory storytelling art practice. Each role—whether diving into sustainability in fashion or falling in love with the power of social media —has brought me closer to understanding my purpose and values.
Just like my identity is shaped by multiple cultures, my career is shaped by a mix of experiences. My goal is to consistently pull all these pieces together into a cohesive whole. Whether I’m writing about the latest hottest exhibition in town or crafting marketing strategies, my work is all about teaming up with people and organisations who, like me, believe in the transformative power of art.
I have an MA from King’s College London in Cultural & Creative Industries (2022-23), and a BA in Fashion & Lifestyle Business Management from Pearl Academy (accredited by Nottingham Trent University) (2016-2019). And here are some of my certifications:
UC Davis | Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialization (2024)
PhotoVoice | Comprehensive Introduction to Participatory Photography (2024)
Atlassian | Jira Fundamentals (2023)
Google | Agile Project Management (2023)
ELVTR | Game Production (2023)
University of Copenhagen | The Sustainable Development Goals (2021)

Harvard Business School Online | Sustainable Business Strategies (2020)

I’m basically a major culture nerd, (but I’m not snobby about it). I’ll enjoy a museum exhibit or a musical just as much as the latest TikTok brainrot trend. On most days, you’ll find me on the hunt for the next great food spot or wandering through some new corner of the city. I’ve serious love for photography, fashion, music, and cozy games—Stardew Valley girlie here, because let’s face it, there’s something about growing pixelated parsnips that just hits different.
Mental health is a big one for me. Meditation, psychology, self-development—I’m pretty proud of my self-help book collection. And just every other Third Culture Kid, I’m always thinking about diversity and inclusion—equity for everyone isn’t just a nice idea, it’s an absolute must. I’ve also got a real soft spot for all things handmade. But my main love? Dogs. One day, I’ll retire on a ranch with a million of them. Cats are welcome too.
